This page will show you how to make a custome helmet for your fantasy
football team using Microsoft Paint and LViewPro.
Step 1. Download LViewPro and a
helmet from the blank helmet page. (Right click on the blank helmet you want to
use and save it as a .bmp or .gif file so you can edit using Paint.)
Step 2. Decide what you team logo is going to be and
download it from a WWW site by right clicking on the image you want to use and
saving it as a .bmp or .gif file.
Step 3. Edit the saved logo file using Paint (or another
graphics program) to get the appearance you want.
Step 4. Open the helmet file using Paint and save it with
your team name. This prevents you from making a mistake that ruins your blank
helmet template.
Step 5. Extend the right side of your blank helmet to give
yourself workspace for your logo.
Step 6. Select "paste from" in the edit menu, find your
edited logo, and paste it onto your screen.
Step 7. If your logo is too big to fit inside the helmet,
shrink the logo using the "stretch/shew" option in the image menu, until the
logo will fit on the helmet. Then readjust the helmet graphic to remove the
workspace on the right.
Step 8. Now zoom in and touch up any detail that was lost
when you reduced your logo to fit inside the helmet.
Step 9. Paint the helmet the colors you want. If your
colors run into a part of the helmet you don't want, you have a broken border
somewhere that needs to be fixed. When you are finished painting your helmet
save it and exit Paint.
Step 10. Final Step: Open your finished helmet file using
Paint or LViewPro and save it as a .gif file. (Note: .gif files are a lot
smaller and therefore easier to display on webpages than .bmp files.)
